Saskia Siebrand

Born: 1964, Ottawa

The mosaist Saskia Siebrand came to Montreal in 1985 to study art at Concordia University. In 1998, she founded Mosaïka Art & Design with Kori Smyth, becoming its creative and technical director. This studio specializes in the production of large mosaics for public and private places; its clients range from restaurants and hotels to cathedrals, casinos, cities, and the New York subway (to which it is one of four suppliers of mosaics worldwide).
