Mural by Aurelio Sandonato, rue Cartier ticket hall of Du Collège station, in context

This mural blends in colour and stands out in texture from the flat earth-coloured surface of the ticket hall, illuminated by a skylight. Its grid of bricklike terra cotta squares of irregular depths and varied surfaces suggests a city grid, in keeping with the industrial theme of Lyse Charland Favretti's stained glass window in the entrance pavilion above.
