Mural by Judith Klein at Jean-Talon station Mural, 1982
Painted metal
Height 18m × width 18m

Location: Jean-Talon station, western volume, above the head of the Snowdon platform

This huge mural of 256 panels, stretching both high above the Snowdon tracks and below them to the Saint-Michel platform, was installed upon construction of the blue line platforms. Combining geometrical shapes with abstract images of trains, it represents power and flux of the meeting of the lines at this transfer station. Its colours, representing the colours of the orange and blue line, accord with the decoration of the new section of the station by architect Gilbert Sauvé.
